While African women leaders have long been at the forefront of innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership. I’m constantly challenged by the lack of their presence at so many of the current leadership forums. Too often I’ve been asked to build events where their absence is clearly felt and their lessons missed.
AfricHer is my determined drive to reframe how leadership is explored, demonstrated and valued by showcasing leading executives from varied backgrounds. Not to repeat the obvious but to present the evidence through valued contribution from strong leading women.
This is not a summit to once again confirm the need for more women in leadership positions but rather to hear from these leaders and share in their lessons.

Twenty years as an event entrepreneur has offered me great insight and experience into what summits of this nature should strive to achieve.
My goal is to create a series of events under the AfricHer leadership programme that consistently showcase why change in the boardroom is more than gender balancing, its sound business sense.
